Is there any benefit to using a skirt around the fifth wheel in hot and/or windy areas? I'm moving to Burlington Colorado for a job soon and was wondering if it was worth the time, effort, and money to get one. That area typically has 30 degree temperature swings for highs and lows.

I don't have them but many of my friends up north do have them. So I think they do help. I have seen couple feet of snow.
I'M in East Texas and wonder if they'd help me
Some say don't use hay bails! I'M just saying!
There some sights will show home made.

Here some of topic here on iRV2

It gets cold there!!
In other places (here in Mesa county, western CO) I have seen bales of hay used as skirting. Some people say that critters are a problem but I don't know if that is a real problem or not.
I have also seen foam board used. Cut and staked and duct taped to the bottom side.

You will use propane like it is going out of style. I would sure try to get a large tank (250 gallon or more ?) set on site so a truck can come out and refill it as needed.

Thanks for the cold weather tips. I plan on getting a skirt from these guys http://rvskirting.com/. Has anyone seen any benefit to using them in hot weather conditions?

when we had out prior FW parked on a seasonal lot I had the front skirt for storage, but also a skirting around the patio side. This prevented wind from coming from under the Rv and blowing the awning up. I had a addaroom on the FW for 10 summer seasons. and never had a wind issue.
