SD does NOT have any ObamaCare Nationwide Medical Coverage Plans.
So If under 65/not on Medicare........check out FL for domicile.
Escapees has mailforwarding services in TX, FL and SD

That isn’t what he said. But if under 65 and still on standard insurance (esp if from the ACA marketplace), the odds are nil finding one that works.
But if on Medicare and eligible for an Advantage plan or a Med Supp (Medigap) plan, those are easily available in SD.
Actually being a resident of SD made it cheap, compared to FL, to afford the Medigap policy. We are SD residents and thru USAA, at 65, my Medigap Plan F is about $180. In Florida, the same plan would cost about $400. a month.

Thanks,
I misread his post as over 65 nothing available which I found confusing.
After re reading it I understand what he was saying.

Hear..Hear !
$125.00 dollars to receive two mailings ....both from them were for SDMOT services I paid AMB to do. Now they did good in getting my SD reg/tags. So wrote it off as cost to do business. Never gave that address to anyone else. ! They will find ways to use up your mail acct credit, even when you got no mail...Lol.. And when asked about it they have no meaningful answer.
I'd never use them again.

We've used Dakota Post since Nov 2011, and have had no issues. We are both on Medicare/Tricare4Life.
I've been thinking of changing to FL, since we spend so much time in New Orleans area, but have put that on hold until the voting issues IRT the mailing services, are ironed out.

We are under 65 and have health coverage through a Christian health share. It's good in all 50 states. Technically, it's not "health insurance", but they cover all your medical costs by paying out of a shared pool. PLUS, the premiums/deductible are reasonable ($400/mo for the two of us, $1750 deductible) compared to the ACA ($1,700/mo with $9,600 deductible). Has worked fine so far....

I looked around and found that South Dakota has low insurance rates, no state income tax, no yearly safety or emissions testing for vehicle (no need to return regularly), cheap vehicle registration costs, and is very Full Time friendly.
There are a few organizations that FTers use for setting up addresses and DLs and the like. I'd like to find one that can kinda walk me through the process so I don't screw anything up. Which one did you use, and would you recommend them?

Try watching this video about establishing a residence for full timers in South Dakota

Never looked into the medical insurance plan so you must read the policy language itself...it might sound better in the video than it actually is

I'm with My Home Address, also. It's great to finally meet some of my neighbors.

He spends more time pitching his YouTube sponsor than explaining the details his own health insurance.
Here's the poop . . . he signed up for a LifeShield STM policy which is short-term health insurance. The plan doesn't cover pre-existing conditions and is not eligible for subsidies like ACA plans are.
This guy also lists the Zach Roberts insurance agency site because that's where he bought his health insurance. The Roberts site is very short on details, but he'd love you to fill out his online form to start "qualifying" you. Buyer beware.
If you're an under 65 RVer looking for health insurance options, I strongly recommend Escapee's RVer Insurance Exchange which has several options, including some short-term plans.
