We have been full-timing it for a year now. 20K miles and 17 states with several trips back and forth to Tennessee from California it has been interesting.

We are pretty well settled into the lifestyle now and have just about unloaded all the stuff we thought we needed when we started.

To date the coach has performed better than our expectations and no problems with the toad either.

We spent more than we planned, but a lot of it went to 2 campground memberships (CRA and Western Horizons) and of course Camping World got their share as well.

We have gotten acustomed to spending the night at WalMarts and rest areas while traveling. And have finally settled down to cruising at 55-60 MPH as it is a lot easier on fuel and we are never in a hurry anyway.

We have tried our best to be friendly to all we meet and lend a hand if we can.

I have learned that there are some who just have to run down your coach, regardless of who it was made by they know of serious problems with that brand.

We have been really lucky in finding Vets for one of our little mutts who tends to have back problems, she has been to Vets in 7 different states and has a medical record about 3/4 inch thick.

I have found that most RV parks were designed for rigs made 25 years ago and they have no intention of upgrading as long as people continue to pay for obsolete facilities. OK what I am talking about is 30amp only, more trees than a National forest and sewer connections that are uphill from the coach not to mention spots that have more hills and valleys than the entire state of Tennessee.

I have found that to get satellite TV service a portable dish is required in addition to the dish on the roof (all those trees)

I found that VA medical Centers in different states tend to operate on their own as though they were in no way connected to the other VA facilities (I know you have a perscription that was written by the VA hospital in California and I know it has 3 refils left but this is the VA hospital in Iowa and you will have to be seen by a Dr. here and if he feels you need the drug he will write you a new perscription from THIS VA Hospital)

I have learned to watch my tire pressure as it can cause major problems if you don't,,, on the toad too..

I guess above all we have learned that there are some super people traveling around like we are and feel we have been frotunate to meet so many of them.

We have been full timing for 3 and 1/2 years. First in a Bounder and the past year in a 2004 Southwind. I needed a bigger refrigerator so go figure I have a new unit. Love it and no problems to speak of. Love full timing and have only a few things left in storage (pictures mostly) that my kids still need to go through. Have spent time in Wal-Marts, state parks, city parks and Corp. of Engineer spots. We like the Corp places real well and they are resonable but sometimes hard to get to and especially if it is dark. Very seldom stay in a private park due to costs. We do work as Workampers and we are in Florida right now but will head to the Midwest (home) in April. Hope to work in Oregon for the summer or one of the Dakotas after a couple weeks in IA/NE. Love this life style and feel like we live normal except we move when we want. Pay our bills on line but have very few. Any questions?

Glad you're still enjoying after a year. We are in our sixth year and still learning the little tricks as we go along. We travel slow and don't put on as much mileage as you. Thats what is fun about fulltiming is doing your own thing.
