In clearing out the old homestead, I need to dispose of a bunch of tools - probably the most painful part of this whole project. A man can never have enough tools!
For full-timing, what is the absolute minimum for the tool list? What sort of things would be "Nice To Have"? What can you always get along without?
This has probably been discussed before, but obviously I'm new to these forums...any input is appreciated!

I decided I could do without my circular saw and my sabre saw ...and 9 months later wished I had the sabre saw.

Absolute minimum for me is full set of screw drivers, open end wrenches, socket set, and pliers.

Ultimately, I believe the list will depend on the individual ...those who are accustomed to doing more of their own work will want more tools.

AFC Chap,
Have you looked at the small battery powered hand tools? The tiny circular saw is pretty small... also have sabre saws too!(Here's a few "sets" all on one page) One of these sets could be squeezed into most RV basements.

I do have a battery power screw driver that I carry with me, and battery powered circular saw/screw driver set that I left behind with my son. Just didn't figure I would need the circular saw in my travels... so far, I was right. But I haven't looked at a battery power sabre saw ...something to consider!

The thing that I carry that is the most useful is a small vise bolted to a 6"x12" long board. With a "C" clamp I can attach it to a picnic bench if I have to use it. Comes in handy for a third hand.
