Upgrade RV to newer used.
Hello,
We are 8 months into full timing and have decided to upgrade our 40' 1999 American Tradition to a newer used RV in the 2011-2014 range.
We have narrowed field to two makes, either another American Coach or an Entegra. Both will have to have a tag axle and a bath and a half.
Please give me your thoughts on which brand you would why.
Thanks,
Chris Sherman

Hi Chris! Welcome to IRV2! We're sure glad you joined the gang!
Sorry I can't offer advice on those! Hope you find the perfect rig for your needs! Keep her between the ditches!
Good luck, happy trails, and God bless!

Chris, we are not full timers, but we looked pretty hard at Entegra, Newmar, and American Coach. We felt that Newmar was a bit more pricey for the same coach we could get with Entegra. We liked the American Coach but they don't have very many dealers near us. The two closest to us are in Canada which is somewhat of a hassle if we needed service. For us the Entegra was the best bang for the buck.

For full time I would select Entegra, mainly for the insulation values that cannot be beat. Also, I am 6'4 and don't fit in the American Coach bathroom. I will be purchasing a new DP in 2019 and it will either be a Newmar or Entegra.

Glad to have you here in the forum with us. You're gonna like it here.
You should add Newmar to the list of coaches to be considered.
Happy Trails!!!

i read from boondocking forum that nina and paul decided to go europe and sell their coach and toad. over the years, they have been well known on this site and rv circle as a whole, and their coach has been well kept and upgraded with solar and lithium. take a look if that meets your needs. (i am not associated with them just passing this info to you)...
