Vibration tolerant printers

Are certain printers better suited for the constant vibration of full time travel than others? Don't know if laser or inkjet printers are inherently better with tolerating the constant movement while traveling? Do certain manufacturers make printers designed to handle the continual vibration they will be subject to with a full time, continual travel type of lifestyle?

Interesting question. I am sure there's rugged used printers as there are computers. But I think not needed. One of the smaller portable printers are likely built with a ruggedized factor.

Should have stated we will have need for a multi-function unit - print, copy, scan.

Most of my documents are filed on my laptop and back-up hard drives, and we need printed info rarely. We dont have a printer!

About 2x per year we stop at Staples or OfficeMax etc with files on a thumb drive. It is tax records and such. It is extremely cheap.

Gave up on printers because the ink carts dried out so quickly, especially in the southwest. That can get pricey.

We have an all in one Epson Workforce 633. Got it almost 3 years ago. It's been cross country several times, up and down the mountains and jiggled all kinds of ways. Still going very well. We do print, sometimes a lot. Like right now Thom is lead in a play and I am the stage manager so there are lists and flyers and stuff for the show that we print.

We have used the Kodak all-in-one for several years without any problems. It prints through our MIFI from Verizon.

I have a HP Photosmart D110 series print, Scan, copy, web. It is small and can be put away while traveling. Will work wireless also, just have to set it up with your computer. Works real will for what i need it for.
Just have to watch your print cartridges.
Just some information for you.

Great question. We thought we packed our printer well but tried to use and we could not get it to align. Just bought another one on a Black Friday deal. This time our plan is to keep it stored in its original packing. Hope this works.

Extra care is not needed just because the printer is in an RV.

I have used two multifunction HP inkjet printers in my coach over the past10 years. Only problem I ever had was a power supply killed by a lightning strike.

Our HP Scan-Fax-Copy is 8 yrs old brought it from the house 24,000 road miles 3 1/2 on the road and have not hurt it, hoping it will die so I can replace with HP wireless.

So far, the used HP inkjet all in one I picked up at a thrift store for $8 that sits on the floor under my dinette when not in use (the center table leg post keeps it from going flying) is doing fine. I pull it out as needed for a few minutes then put it back away. Just think about all the shaking and jolts they take coming over here from China on the boats, then on train cars, then in trucks, then into stores, then into your car, then into your house (or RV).

I been using an EPSON CX88 for 5 years. It's been through 5 winters of sitting in the coach while winterized and temps below zero. It's been sitting on the floor under the couch for over 50,000 miles.

It works without any problems except the EPSON ink is to damn costly. I've been using the COSTCO refills for the last year and no problems.
