What BRAND of Fiver for FULL TIMING?
Been FTing since May. Considering a better quality fiver than our current 2013 Cedar Creek Silverback 33RE. I have one question...what brand/make of Fifth Wheel do you have or would you want for our lifestyle.
The only requirement is that it can be pulled with my One Ton Diesel SRW!!! 😶😶😶
THANK YOU!!!

The 5vr that suits YOUR needs/wants with the floorplan YOU like that has High R-values
We ordered our 5vr cause we liked the floorplan, it met our requirements and standards and the factory was willing to make mods/changes
2013 3500 SRW...
RAWR 7000#
SO you can easily carry a wet pin weight of 3400# ---17,000 GWR 5vr
Happy shopping.

More interested in the quality of what can't be seen than the bling of the floorplan. For me the floorplan comes second to what's under it. But thanx for your input.

I'm not sure what is good, but I will say that I personally wouldn't recommend a Heartland Bighorn. Lot's of bling, hiding extremely poor assembly be it the framing, electrical, or plumbing.

You really should have double pane windows for one thing and enclosed holding tanks. Look at how the drawers are made. Are the cabinets wood or covered in woodgrain paper? Do all the inside corners fit perfectly? Do the inside doors close tightly and not binding?
I agree about not buying the floorplan. What good is a floorplan if the RV falls apart around it? Zero in on the manufacturer first and then choose the floorplan they offer.

We are full-timing in a 2017 Columbus 298 RL 5th Wheel. Considering we had no RV buying experience beforehand, I feel like we made an excellent choice. Sure, there's a few things we'd like to have but overall it's met all our needs.

I think the Arctic Fox or Fox Mountain fivers would be hard to beat when it comes to quality.

I'd say thumbs down on the redwood. They started out okay and have gone downhill. Stick to the artic fox over the redwood. New Horizons summit is a great start. Might buy 2 artic fox for the cost of the summit.

I would be cautious buying anything produced by Lippert. And I do have a Grand Design 305RE, with a Lippert Frame.
