It is easiest to say what we like least about fulltiming....the lack of a consistent, affordable, functional internet connection. Otherwise....I can't think of any other real dislikes, except perhaps the inability to sneak out of bed to watch a movie without alerting my mate. What we like best is, of course, the freedom. But, we also like the simplicity...less things to lose, to store, to trip over. We like meeting all the new people, the adventure of seeing this grand country, the ability to see the various way people live. I especially enjoy a leisurely bike ride through a stick-house development and watching folks mowing, trimming, raking, etc. We LOVE the lifestyle.

We must be lucky, we haven't found anything that we don't like about the full time lifestyle.

Even with the occasional campgound that we stay at without Internet access at the site, (which can be a real challenge because of everything we do on line), the advantages so outweigh the disadvantages. And when DirecDuo gets up and running, that will fix that issue.

The great new friends we've made, the cultures we never would have enjoyed unless we spent time with them, discovering wonderful new things about each other that only this lifestyle would have uncovered, the excitement of "What's around the next turn?", ah, the list goes on and on.

Two years and we haven't even gotten off the East Coast! So much to see and only the rest of our lives to do it! Now, if only the stock market will cooperate.

We love the lifestyle too . The only thing I wish were different would be that I did not have to work to make a living. I would still like to help folks out with some problems they may have with their rigs but I could travel more and have a lot more fun. The internet access for us has not been too big of an issue as I guess we have not been too far out in the boonies not to get a signal on the cell phone. It will get better as Dave as stated as time marches on.

Hi
I like the idea of finding nothing you dislike about full time lifestyle. But there is one or two things that appear now and again.

1. Hard to get a library card, not impossible just a lot harder.

2. The social currency of staying in one place for an extended period of time has no value full timing. We are sometimes treated one step above a transient.

3. The internet connection thing is no so bad as I remember 9600 baud being fast.

Things we like about the full time lifestyle are so numerous that it out weighs the above. I mean where else could you wake up on the north rim of the Grank Canyon!

We love everything about fulltiming except when the schools let out and the Cg's fill up with screaming brats who run around yelling and screaming! We now look for paved roads, sunny and over 55 campgrounds.
The only thing I miss is WHIZZING in my own backyard, I don't have one anymore!

While I seem to have the internet thing whipped with my ATT wireless card, there are other things I miss. I think I miss the community of my home church the most. I am basically shy and have had a hard year adjusting to the full time lifestyle. People don't seem to come out of their RVs quite as much in the winter. We have been thinking about a club that we might join that might help us meet folks alittle easier. So I guess I'm saying I miss my friends.
But having said that I do love the freedom of the rv lifestyle. We have seen some beautiful country this past year. We decided to follow the sun to Arizona for the winter this year, all of you have a healthy, blessed new year.

I don't know where you are in Arizona, but most of the RV parks have loads of activities. Don't be shy, just go to the rec hall and check out the posters, join a class and have some fun.
