What do you use as a full time address?

So what do you use for an address as a full timer?? It seems that CC's, vehicle registration, voter registration, etc want a stake in the ground somewhere. Can I use a UPS Store's address for vehicle registration, insurance, etc., in Washington state? It seems like it should be correct rather than arguing after the fact.

I rather remain registered in WA as I know the politics, I think I'd find it hard to follow politics in SD, TX, even FL.

TIA,
Max

I have the EXACT SAME QUESTION! Will have home and possessions sold in 105 days and be full timing as long as God allows.

We started full timing in Sept & became TX residents , no personal property tax & simplified vehicle inspections was a selling point for us , also our daughter lives in TX so we use her mailing address . She forwards mail to us every few weeks , itís been working out fine for us so far , we don get much mail.

Lots of folks go with Escapees out of Livingston, TX.

Great mail forwarding service, and the benefits mentioned by stepside454 above plus TX is one of seven states with no state income tax.

Vehicle registration is based on weight and we pay about $360 a year on our forty foot DSDP.

I use my girlfriend's address in Vancouver, WA. She has no plans to move. It's an honest-to-goodness residence, and no one has questioned it ever.

Find a friend in Washington that will let you use their address for the official stuff. If you're in an area that makes registration more expensive than a rural area, get a friend that lives rural to let you use their address.

It's not fraud if when you're in town you can stay with them. Just stay one night, then get outta town, or if rural, park somewhere on their property and stay a few days maybe.

Not sure why you worry about another state's politics. You most likely will not be living in that state, will you? We used the Escapees RV Club's mail forwarding service in Livingston, TX which gave us a street address. Rarely went to Texas.

We established mailing address at sons home before selling our house. DIL forwards what little mail we get after tossing junk mail. She is on my bank acc for any emergencies and postage. For credit purposes, banks want a real street address and longevity at that address is important.

Your best bet if you want to remain resident in a particular state is to use a relatives or friends address. The side benefit is they could monitor and forward any important mail.

I would use an established mail service as an address. Friends and relatives get tired of forwarding your little bit of mail. UPS is a franchise and may go out of business so I would stay clear of them.

We use Escapees in Livingston. Been with them since the early 2000's. Never had a problem with any forwarding.

Hi Max! Welcome to IRV2! We're sure glad you joined the gang!

We're not fulltimers yet but wanted to say hello! Keep her between the ditches!

Good luck, happy trails, and God bless!

Thanks everyone. For the last few years I've been using a friend's address, but she had to move. Ergh. So I'm looking at options now. As I've said I'd rather keep an address in WA.

What do you use as a full time address?

After reading all of the comments, I think we will have to check out Escapees.

For those of you that DO use that service, what do you have listed on your drivers license, as far as your address?

The mail forwarding address that Escapees will give you. It's a street address. The same address is used for everything - banking, insurance, etc.

Have used a PMB in Woodland Washington for two years now and no issues except for State Farm and our car. Motorhome with Progressive no problem
