Full timing in an RV will either bring us closer together or drive us apart. We are betting on the former.
We had a trail run at close quarters, togetherness 15 years ago and survived. LOL At that time we had been married about 8 years and I had been working rotating shifts including rotating days off every 6 weeks. It was not unusual for us to be two ships passing in the night. Then I moved into a staff position with straight days with weekends and holidays off and we really needed to learn about ourselves. It was tough but we got through it and today we are happy with the time we spend together but we also enjoy our separate times. During the summer I do a lot of bicycling and she does a lot of shopping. I think that patter will continue well into our plans to FT in the next 18 months.

I love the spirit of fulltimers! So positive all the time. I've been in a trailer for about 10 months now... I don't miss much, other than having a nice bathtub. The small space is a positive, as is the fact that I don't NEED or WANT a lot of clothes, a garage, or lots of tools. Those all lend themselves to having "stuff" which you don't really need to be happy in life.

Full timing for 11 months now. I miss..
Friends and the group rides on weekends
Homebrewing beer

When we had our estate sale, we moved in some stuff that we didn't want to sell into a 5 x 10 storage room. Time to go back to Santa Fe and sell the stuff. We haven't had a need for it since moving into the RV. At 70.00 per month, 5 years from now we could probably replace everything in there with brand new.

Safe travels.

Jake21 - group rides? I guess you are talking about motorcycles or bicycles. I know the park I was in has group kayak trips, group motorcycle, and group bicycle rides.

Trouble is you have to make new friends and that is not always easy. My 1st kayak trip with the group I was alone. By the 3rd trip I had a few 'same speed paddler' friends.

Yep - storing stuff the cost will add up.

So far - main thing we miss is a cat. We tried twice unsuccessfully.Said no more heartbrakes. I think that's about it for me - my DH would say
he misses a bigger kitchen cause he's chief cook.

No reason you can't fulltime RV with cats. We have two in our rig and have been fulltiming for four years...plus a dog. They all love it and have adapted very well. The cats go out each day on a leash.

Bicycling. Miss riding with my team. I try to get in with the local shop rides, but not the same as riding with your usual peloton an knowing how they ride.

I hate storage rooms. "Less crap, more beer"

+1 We only 1/2 time but I miss my brewery while we are snowbirding. Good beer isn't always so easy to buy depending on where you are. Some places everything ends in "lite".

I only miss good high speed WiFi. All the other things grand kids and friends I see more of now then I ever did when I was stuck in my home.
