If you wanted to spend the winter you'd tell them and they'd try to put you on a lot that would be available the winter - many are. It's harder to get a site by just dropping in from Jan-March except for short stays but you could get lucky. Next time you're in the area it's worth a try. You'll like it.

Thanks for the follow up info on Benson. I like the website design background!

Interestingly, the lady who checked us in at Deming told us the trains were bothersome in Benson. We didn't hear them when we checked it out but the tracks seemed close.

You said you "had" a lot there. Does that mean you gave it up?

LLando Grande RV Resort & golf course RGV Mercedes TX. Jan-Mar 15. Year 4. Top notch, large park. They do not limit RV years, models, or types. Lots and lots to do, really friendly in the park and all over the RGV. Less than an hour from S. Padre Island and the gulf.

Thanks for sharing that. Fun to look at their info. That's about as far south as you can get!

This coming winter will be our 5th winter staying at Rancho Casa Blanco resort in Indio, CA. We love the park and the area.

So much to do with the most perfect winter weather. This is a 55 and over park.

Sounds good but not a typical rental. Haven't done the private lot rental. Looks confusing.

Ice,

I is pretty easy. Go to the Rancho Casa Blanca website and look for a rental site. Get in touch with the owner and make a deal. Each owner is in control of their lot so each situation is individual and unique.

This is a great place and worth the effort. We own a lot and will be pulling in about this coming Wednesday. If you need some help let me know and I can give you a hand once I arrive.

The Coachella Valley has so much going on. Also the area is convenient to both Joshua Tree National Park and Anza Borrego State park. Also a unique place to visit is the Saltin Sea.

Couldn’t agree more. This is our second year renting here and it is surprisingly affordable. Add the nearby casino for entertainment options (we’re seeing Tony Bennett next month) and the near perfect winter weather and short 18 hole golf course within the park and you have a wonderful, well kept park.

Thanks for the follow up. We have this year covered but now looking at options for next, 2019-2020, winter. Will add this to my list of possibilities.

Having your own lot makes things much easier! (Something we've been considering.)

Short answer: We've got no idea!

Longer answer: That's on purpose. Spent most of this year following a plan or having to be somewhere. This winter, we'll spend three weeks at Wilderness Lakes over the holidays, then boondock our way to Quartzsite for the big tent, then to Yuma for some dental and eye glasses. After that, we're just going to explore AZ, maybe NM, southern NV or UT. Don't know, don't care. Just going to follow the weather and our hearts.
