- Were headed into our 3rd Michigan winter in a Keystone Alpine 3640rl. 1 minor freeze up the first winter. Lots of storage and the heat pump is a real propane saver wouldn't go without one again it worked down to 28 some nights then the furace automatically kicked in.

We have been looking at the Alpine by Keystone. It is a beautiful camper. We just haven't seen or heard much about them as FT units since they are fairly new.

Our Alpine seems to be wearing well but it's only got about 1000 miles on it. Moved it here and this is where it sits till the house is done then it'll hit the road. I added a few extra shelves in some of the cabinets just because and some extra insulation in the basement on the back side of the propane tanks and about 10 tubes of calk to keep out the wind down there. So far were real happy. Our dealer Sold us a new year old model at a great price $42k and delivered it for free. I can still google the model up and used ones are going for $10k more than we paid new

The one problem I have heard of is with the frame, after about five or six years of use, the area around the pin box starts to crack. I have two friends that had this problem, which can become a dangerous situation. Most of the frames are made by lippert industries. Do some research.

Having looked over the Redwoods, it is not in the same class a Carriage product. I would put it in the same general class, but lower than a Jayco Designer. I would also place the Alpine trailers below Jayco. They need to build them on a better frame.
The management team and lots of the workers have gone to Lifestyle RV and are building a product very close to the Carriage products.
LIFESTYLE Luxury RV The company is owned by Evergreen.

Heartland has three models that are warranted for full time use, the Big Country, Bighorn and the Landmark. The Landmark also has a two year warranty. We lived in our Bighorn for two years before trading up to a Landmark Grand Canyon, which we've had since October '11.

We have been full timing for 3 yrs. We loved our 2008 Sierra with rear kitchen but wanted something with more insulation. We bought a 2013 Landmark San Antonio 41 ft. Totally regret it. We expected more quality for the $$$ we spent on it. We have had numerous problems, most which are STiLL not resolved. Two things that we love about it is the 6 point auto leveling & the 4 door refrig/freezer with ice maker. However it is a Norcold & it went out already due to a recall that Norcold did that causes an error-high temp switch is open. Cost us loss of food, fuel & $65 to have it reset. All they did was put a magnet on it to reset it but Norcold refuses to reimburse the $65. Sorry, back to full timing. My recommendations for full timing; a rear kitchen usually has alot more counter space, lots of storage, you'll need it, a split bath rather than shower, toilet& sink all in 1 rm together. We pull with a 2500 Chev diesel & have never had ANY problems. Plenty of power even in mountains. Good luck.

We will be seriously looking at the Mobile Suites when we buy another RV. They are insulated pretty good and are a solid product. I want a RV that will last.

Does anyone own an Infinity fifth wheel? We saw one at Camper World and wanted to know about them firsthand.

If your going to be where it's real cold the rear kitchen may be a problem. We were going to buy one but one of the people in out campground had one and couldn't keep it thawed no matter how hot it was inside
