a Mail Forwarding Service. As my wife and I prepare to set off into fulltiming, I had my mind set on Escapees. I haven't read anything that changed my mind wrt Escapees, but I have looked at a few others that offer S.D. residency with one (MyDakotaAddress) offering a service where I can preview what mail they have. They will only forward what I ask them to forward. With few exceptions, all my bills are now paperless (a few companies don't offer paperless yet).
So please ....... Who do you use and why?

I use My Home Address in Emery, SD.
I chose SD because there is no vehicle inspection, and the mail service will handle vehicle registration, and license tags by mail, and the registration fees are reasonable.
SD does not require any drivers license endorsement for heavier RVs. TX does.
SD has a 3% one time excise tax on vehicles.
TX has vehicle inspection, and 6% tax on vehicles.
I have the mail service toss any junk mail, and after 15 months, there have been no problems.
You will have to go to SD to get your drivers license, and once every 5 years for renewal.

We use Alternative Resources because that is where we started and have been pleased.
Some others have since jumped into this service in SD and may offer more for less. If I were starting over, would research as you are doing, and then make a choice. Alternative Resources is a safe bet and they have been around for a long time.

I use plain old united state postal service and I cannot complain. I have a mail box back home in utah and they forward to me once a week.

We chose South Dakota for our residency for the exact same reasons given by Route 66. More importantly, our insurance was $800 a year less (motorhome and toad) in SD than it would have been for Texas. We even checked with different insurance companies.
We use Alternative Resources in Sioux Falls and they provide pretty much the same services as My Home Address. It's great that they throw away all the junk mail for us. We have used them for over a year and a half and are happy with their service.
We are fortunate that my previous employer will subsidize medical insurance for my wife and me until we are both 65 when we will qualify for Medicare. If you are not 65 and must pay for your own insurance, I have heard that SD is quite a bit more expensive than Texas so that would be something to check out.
Theoretically, you could have SD as a domicile, but use Escapees in Texas for mail forwarding. My wife and I preferred to have our mailing address to be in the same state as our domicile because we felt it would be cleaner and raise fewer questions.
Edit: Corrected spelling
