Others move from a northern site to a southern site each year and say they are "full-timers" vice "snow birds" because they are using an RV. Some say because they are away from their stick home more than half of the year it qualifies them as "full-timers". 'Full-timing" is a fulfillment of a dream and you have to live it as you have dreamt it. Ours was to sell our stick home and “stuff” and browse around the country much like someone would browse the internet - go to the next interesting place. We did that for nearly five years and would still be doing it if it were not for conditions we had no control over. Now we call ourselves “part-timers” because we have sticks again.
Below are just a few of the great places we have parked and called home for a short time.

[QUOTE=chofujohn;985627]Just for what it's worth. I went with 21st Century and they were less than half of Progressive.[/QUOTE

Something of CRITICAL importance for new full-timers is to check that the insurance you pick is actual FULL-TIMERS insurance, not just auto insurance that happens to cover your RV.

The same insurance that was fine while you weekended or vacationed may in fact turn out not to cover you for things that happen while stationary, and may not cover the contents (now consisting of all your worldly goods).

Some policies would in fact be void if the company finds out you are full-timing.

So check and double-check. You can't just assume that any RV insurance will be suitable for your full-timing lifestyle.

FYI, we moved from 25 years with Geico to Blue Sky when we went full-time.
