I guess you wouldn't but when in Rome, you don't speak Swedish as a rule. South of the 49th I talk miles, feet and inches, north I talk kilometres, centimetres and millimetres. And in some parts, French (egad). I guess that's what happens when your school switches from Imperial to Metric in the middle of a school year during ones formative years. I guess I am measurlingual. It gets quite hilarious when my partner tries to figure out what she should set the Thermostat in our rig to because it is calibrated Imperial and she is only familiar with Metric.

My company transferred me to BC for a year a long time ago. I never could get the hang of the of system (okay, I didn't try). Some one gave me a formula to convert C to F, that if I remember correctly, was something like, double the C number and add 30. So 30C would be 90F. Am I close?

You are close enough for government work.

It's close. The real equation is C x 1.8 plus 32 = F

30 x 1.8 = 54 add 32 and you get 86 deg F.
