Anyone use this web site? Best I have found so far..

Any of you use this web site? I found it informative! Gives you both the FREE camping, donation and minimal fee. Look at the legends. Green is FREE and Red is minimal fee.

You can click directly at each sight, read reviews, see details and often have posted photo's.

It's a nice website and even Nomadic Fanatic uses it.

Yes, we use it a lot, and provided users create an account and add new places and update existing ones, it will only get better.. Allstays is also very useful for regular RV parks but has heaps of forestry, BLM and state and municipal sites as well as casinos, and yes, plenty of walmarts as well.

iOverlander.com, available as a free off-line app, started out being for travellers in Central and South America, but now has 25000 places all over the world (actually 26447 and growing by the minute) including 2500 places in Mexico, 1830 in the USA and nearly 1000 in Canada so it is fast becoming another useful source of alternative camp sites.

That's a nice site but I noticed some of my favorite small forest service campgrounds that are either free or very low cost are not shown. I'm not sure why.

You can go to the web site and add the campground you find. That way other fellow RV'ers can appreciate it.

There are also options to add photo's. It's up to us to help each other out.

Pay forward, or pay back, but either way if nobody contributes, there will be no sites to use.

Freecampsites.net experience

Yes, I use freecampsites.net. It has helped quite a bit.
But I've found I need to be careful. A week ago it directed me to a forest service dispersed camping area north of Williams AZ (50 miles south of the Grand Canyon). However, it was a dirt road - -which would have been fine in dry weather. But (maybe because we were there) it had rained a lot lately, and the dirt road was deep mud. With no real place for our MH+toad to turn around, we almost got stuck. Very unpleasant experience.
Not the app's problem -- I just need to be careful of weather-related conditions (e.g. be wary of dirt roads).

I like the site as well. Seems though that the more people post these places the busier they become. Three of my favorite places have become closed to overnighters because of neglect, abuse, or total disregard. I always try to pick up trash and clean the areas I boondock in. I hope others do as well.

We use the Daysenddirectory.com as our primary and fill in with others. You must be an Escapees member to join the Days End but it is well sourced by the Escapee members.

Ioverlander has been great in Labrador/Newfoundl, Mexico, and USA.

Best to. Drive up with Tow/Toad vehicle to disperse sites before taking in TT, fifth wheel , or motor home
