i noticed this "Microwave (and the winner is!!) = 163 AMPS!!", that appears excessive. my sharp convection microwave is 850w, which uses about 75a from battery. what kind of microwave are you using and what is its wattage?

Ours is a Samsung. 1.4kw input, 1000 watts output, at 120 volts AC.

I just went outside to the RV, meter in hand, and ran the exact same test. This time the meter said 144.6 amps coming out of the battery bank and going into the inverter.

That's 1850.88 watts at 12.8 volts

My little 600 watt output microwave draws over 100 amps DC. Cooking watts don't equal input watts.
