Boondocking along US-2 & I-94

This summer we plan to travel from the Mackinaw Bridge, MI, along US-2 to the Duluth, MN area. Then across I-94 to Belfield, ND and then south to Colorado. Do any of you have any recommended camping spots along that route?

With or without hookups.

we use walmarts, commercial, and indian casinos a lot for overnight parking. if we put our jacks down, we use pads under them to avoid damaging the parking lot. we try to park in such a manner that we can extend our bedroom slide over a grass area, curb, or next to a light pole to protect it from traffic.
we always ask security or management for permission and where to park.
we use allstays for info on walmarts that do or do not allow parking. the allstays site is updated by users by email, so it is up to date.
we also stay in state cg's and national forest cg's.

Thanks for some great links. I'm starting to amass a pretty good collection of search engines.

Most Walmarts on your route allow over night parking and there are several truck stops and some city parks along or near your route. There is a Big Sioux truck stop in Grand Forks, ND, Stamart Truck stops in Fargo and Bismarck, Flying J in Fargo. Super Pumper in Belfield, ND.
