Boondocking at Dover

First big trip is planed for next month, Heading to Dover to meet some friends at the NASCAR race.
This will be a great test of the coach and my ability to manage it all. We will be boondocking for 4 days. It will be about 8 of us, I am looking forward to it.
As far as the coach systems, what should I be looking for, what are important factors for taking an all electric coach to boondock for 4 days....?
Lastly, anybody else here been to Dover, any advise to pass along?

Lot 10 is a zoo, that's where all the party animals go. I finally gave up and found a private lot across the highway from the track. Been going to Dover for about 10 years, it's a great track. The Friday truck race is my favorite of th e whole weekend.

I use to have a 5th wheen toy hauler. I carried a Honda EU3000 generator to take care of my electrical needs for the week. I now have a motorhome with an on board generator. If you stay in one of speedway's lots they have several places to get water. If your in a private lot most don't have water. In that case there is free water at the casino at the track. Drive the road into the casino, as soon as you get to the big intersection on the casino property if you turn left they have a sewer dump and water down on the left.

Either the Delaware Agricultural Museum or the State University are great places to camp. Right across from the track. The Ag Museum is great. You can use the indoor facilities, toilets, they have water and ice and on Sunday they have a breakfast that you can buy. Set up and watch the hauler parade. Places to eat and a Dollar General are nearby.

How about Diesel. Is there a pretty easy access station not to far from the track.
I am not sure how much I will need for the genny and the oasis, but will be 5 days without hookup with A/C's running most of the time

We will be staying in Lot 2 in one of the last rows 250-252. I think we will be fine on water, etc. I am sure exited, 21 more days... It is a little haul from here 16? Hours, but I think it will be a great time!!!

There are several stations on 13 that have diesel. I don't recall how easy any of them are to get into and out of.

Several years ago they held Dover around the same weekend as it is this year, I seem to remember not needing a/c at all, in fact I remember it getting very cool at night. In the past Dover has always been the first weekend in June.

That is great news. I tell you I am a little anxious about first run boondock with an all electric coach.
In our Pace Arrow, you forget to have power the fridge just switched over to propane......
Am sure it will be fine after I hear the genny kick in to recharge the batteries for the first time ..... LoL

I would imagine your coming up I81to I66 around the DC beltway "495" to route 50/301. I'm actually driving my rig down 301 to the DC beltway to stay in a park not to far from the Udvar Hazy Air and Space Smithsonian.

If for some reason you find yourself nearing Baltimore there are a couple tunnels your not allowed to drive through because of the propane tanks.

Sorry, I was stating I had propane on my last coach. This one has none.
But yes, the beltway and then 301.

After about 20 laps the leader usually catches traffic and the race gets hard to follow without a radio and ear buds, or even better a headset and scanner. I usually watch Friday and Saturday race about 20 rows up in turn 4. On Sunday I sit 3 rows from the top on the upper deck of turn 4.

You might try dry camping at home to test it out.
