Boondocking East AL/West GA

Anyone know any good spots to go Boondocking In Eastern Alabama/Western Georgia. We live near Columbus, Ga but love camping away from everyone. We haven't done this since we moved from Washington. Up there, there was lots of places to go off the Forest Service roads. It doesn't seem to be the same type of atmosphere here in AL/GA. Looking for some help.

We live in West Georgia and have the same question. The best we have done so far are some primitive campgrounds in North GA.

The trouble is most of this area is all privately owned land, versus the public and BLM lands out west. The only boondocking I have done here is on leased hunting property. There is a national forrest area over close to Tuskeegee, but I've never heard of anybody camping there. There are some state and COE campgrounds in the area that doesn't get much traffic during the week.
