Boondocking east of Atlanta

Has anyone stayed the night in the lot of WalMart in either Conyers or Covington, GA? They are off of I-20 just east of Atlanta. Wanted to know how safe it was.

i have not personally stayed at any walmart east of the mississippi.
per allstays, there are 2 24 hr stores in covington and 1 in conyers. they will have 24 hr security, so should be safe.
i always ask management or security for permission to park and where to park.

We lived in the metro area for over 20 years.....I would be careful staying overnight outside of a campground. Check the Georgia State Parks site....there should be a perk reasonably close.

Sorry, have to disagree. I would NEVER assume that a WM would be safe to overnight in based on the fact that it has 24-hour security, especially in the Atlanta area. Lived in the metro area all my life and I wouldn't do it.

We live in Ola. It is close by Conyers. The Conyers walmart is next to the freeway. It is in a decent area. I think it would be about as safe as most walmarts. If you would feel safer in a state park, You would only be a few miles from hard labor creek state park. HLC is pretty and a nice park.
