check this free allstays website for which walmarts welcome rv's and which do not.
it looks like the florida city wm had problems with rvers last year.
sometimes when you talk to the store manager (while you are shopping) he or she will give you permission to stay overnight on a one time basis.
this has been my experience.
this site is updated by rvers.

I see people camping there all the time. The must stay on the north side of the parking lot and not take up more spaces than necessary. You should know that this Walmart is open 24/7 and is one of the busiest in the world. It would be unreasonable to expect a quiet night.

Unfortunately it's not always up to WM or other companies to allow boon-docking or not.

We just got back from Florida ourselves and were told by WM staff in a bunch of places 'sorry, not allowed anymore'.

Except it wasn't once the WM that had disallowed it, at 2 places it was the management of the plaza and 3 others the City council that had passed by-laws to prohibit overnight parking.

In 1 spot (Naples, FL) we were told the plaza had gotten lots of complaints about RV's parking overnight in a ritzy area so they banned it.

In another there had been a few close calls with RV's being targeted by 'less than desirable' citizens in the middle of the night and the Sheriff's Dept. had asked for the ban as a crime prevention measure.

Another sad sign of the times.
