Boondocking in New Orleans

I'm playing a couple of concerts in New Orleans the first days in February and I was wondering if anyone has some recommendations about boondocking there. Also if you have any heads up on where not to park. which areas that's safe and not.

Bayou Segnette State Park across the river is a beautiful place to stay. Free washers and dryers last time we were there. Free ferry from Algiers to the New Orleans side.

Yep looked at your site. You have one busy schedule. I hope your agent gives you some time to do some sightseeing.

You sure picked a fine time to perform/visit New Orleans. It is Mardi Gras season, and although it is not in full bloom, it has started. If you cannot find a boondock, and I don't know what the legal regulations are for New Orleans, you may want to try and fine a "pay" site for your engagement.

Good luck. When you are ready to get to Houston and have not found a place to stay, give a holler and I might be able to recommend a few CG's.

Thanks! We considered the state park but it seemed like it would be expensive to pay for CG and then a taxi back and forth to the city center - we're not towing.

Looking for boondocking opportunities since we don't have a budget to use CGs a lot on the tour :( was looking at the indie truck stops on our Allstays app so we might try that.

We'll be in Houston at the end of march but probably won't stay in CGs there either. Thanks anyway though!
