Boondocking near Yosemite?

Entering Yosemite from route 41 and looking for a place to boondock. Anyone know good national forest areas / roads near Wawona / Fish Camp? Thanks in advance!

35' fifth wheel. Most campgrounds I've seen are too small. Maybe a forest service parking lot or side road?

Faithbowls, did you find any areas near Yosemite for boondocking? My family is heading that way next week and would like to find a boondocking location if you wouldn't mind sharing. Thanks!

SKP Park of the Sierras, Coarsegold CA has boondocking sites, very nice. Their phone # is (559) 6508-8696. Better rate if you are a SKP member.

It looks like you must be an SKP to stay at Coarsegold. If you are an SKP, there is a one week offer of a campsite for $50, and that ain't bad at all.

Great find! It's actually a $50 discount off the $147/week price, but $97 for a week is still a great deal.

To become a member at Park Sierra, IOW own a space there, you must meet those requirements.

To join Escapees, it's $40. I've saved about $300 so far and I've been a member since February.
