Hi folks. I became a full timer in October of 2004 and spent the winter in AZ, NV & CA boondocking on BLM land. I see there is some BLM land in western SD, but am curious about free places to park overnight along the Missouri, north of Pierre.
Has anyone spent any time there? What are the regulations at state and Corps boat ramps?
Any help would be appreciated.

Well, since nobody else has much to say, let me offer up a little about what I have learned.
First of all, it can be cold in the spring, right through May. Lows in the 40's or even 30's can be expected. In late June and July you can expect 90's and LOTS of mosquitoes.
I have been volunteering at a state campground for the last 2 months so I haven't had to search out camp spots yet, but I will be searching before long.

Thanks for the link Richard and Shirley. I have been to that web site before, and I am pleasantly surprized that there are some new entries. It may be that I spend a night at one of those city parks, but my idea of boondocking is camping in the boondocks, away from cities.
