Bounder "Boondocking" on Thanksgiving Day
Does being parked outside the In-Laws qualify as "Boon docking"?

That is a real time photo (11/22/2012), I'm out of the shop, which is just temporary as the Zone 2 furnace began misbehaving over the weekend...once again I am thankful for the bumper to bumper warranty for the first year.

If you are living in it and don't have any hook ups then you are Boondocking, doesn't matter where you are.

Maybe next Thanksgiving if you've been a better son- in - law , they'll give you socket to plug into. :-)

In front of the in-laws isn't just boondocking, it's extreme condition boondocking!

You have to be in the boondocks to do any boondocking, you are just parked, or, at the most street camping.

Boondocking
Boondocking defined if you believe these folks anyway: What the OP is doing is Sealth Docking or Cheap Docking according to this article; but extreme condition docking as pointed out might be an apt description.
But being close to relatives and friends and not under foot is one reason we enjoy our MH, so more power to you. 110 or 12v makes no difference.

Whatever you call it I've done that for the past 15 years, Thanksgiving one year, Christmas the next. Nice to have a bedroom isolated from the hub-bub going on in the house with the other 16 people. Also a good place to get away for some quiet time. My in-laws and I get along well maybe this is part of the reason.

My gal and I did a 9 day trip to Saratoga Springs NY in the 1996 Bounder over the Thanksgiving Week. We were happy to have our own place to rest at nite and our own facilities. The black and grey tanks filled and the propane just made the trip. We topped and dumped on our way home at the very first Flying J in OH. The MH was happier with empty tanks.
