Camping World overnight boondocking?

Does anybody know if CW allows one night boondocking while passing thru?

Doubt they would care, just go in and ask. Don't think I would hook up without their express authorization though. Every one will probably be different to to locale.

I don't know. You'd have to ask them. A couple of years ago, we pulled into a Camping World, wondering if we could park there overnight. I can't remember where this was. Anyway, a security guard came over and told us no overnight parking allowed, that Wal Mart up the road was RV friendly. So that's where we went.

The one in Morgan Hill CA let me leave my coach there for a day and night as we did a overnight trip to San Francisco with the toad.

We didn't boondock, just left it there so I don't know if they would allow boondocking.

Wouldn't hurt to ask though.

I will have to check my records as to where it was, but this summer I stopped at a Camping World, bought some "stuff" and on the way out I asked if it was OK to stay overnite in the parking lot. The answer I got was OH Yea! Stay over on the west end, and ya have to look hard, but there are 50 amp boxes kinda hidden in the shrubbery, but we don't have water and sewer. Coulda knocked me over with a feather! It is my understanding that there are quite a few Camping Worlds that provide this service. You have to ask.

We stayed overnight at CW in Akron OH in September -- Called first to make sure it was allowed -- Had multiple 30A hookups available for use

I believe it is up to each store whether or not they allow overnighting

We stayed at the CW in Chattanooga, I had to buy 2 new 12 volt batteries, camping was fine 3 service s with 30 amps but we had to pay , can't remember how much but it wasn't free, I beleived every CW makes it's own rules. There are no camping at the one at Roanoke VA on I-81

The CW superstore in Indianapolis said all superstores have free overnighting W/elect. Their huge parking lot has 50A outlets, but only produce 40A at best IF you can find a parking space. Apparently there are some freeloaders parked there long-term.

Camping World Chattanooga has a full service campground. That is the reason for the charge.

From a business standpoint: Camping World is now partnered with Good Sam's. Good Sam's sells membership and advertising to paid RV Parks. I don't see "free" parking lasting long unless products or service are being purchased. It would be going against what Good Sam's is in business for JMO.
