Yesterday at Costco, there was a shopping cart in the middle of a return island stuffed with garbage bags and cardboard. Maybe wasn't a slob shopper, just a lot cleanup cart!!!! Ha.

Does anybody think setting a good example helps?
Years back a paving company had set up a portable plant. The first day the plant was acting up, couple dozen drivers waiting to load. Some knew each other, but I had never worked with any of them. The guy parked next to me sees me dusting inside, and starts to clean his. I look out, about 4 days of fast food wrappers on the ground between trucks. I did not say a word, but grabbed my trash bag, got out, and picked up the mess, and hobbled across the lot, leaning on my cane more than needed all the way to the trash can and back. I bet there was some talk over the CB, but nobody said anything to me. That was never talked about, but 6 months later, when the moved the plant out there was no trash on the ground...

Hi, well, yes, this is a problem that has been ongoing for generations. Where I am currently boondocking, I have cleaned out 2 sites (mostly broken glass) and my neighbour does a walk in the area picking up trash along the roads. But, how many of you think to do this? ... When I am grocery shopping, the packaging is ridiculous, so I open every single carton and package I can and dispose of it at the grocery store itself. I always bring all my garbage out and dispose of it legally.
