Composting toilets

To all the boondockers out there, what brand of composting toilet do you have, how long have you had it and what are your thoughts? And, Yes I have watched the Wynn's video.

Thanks in advance,

Hello Droski,
First I would suggest to search the subject on this forum since there has been a lot written on the subject already, then internet shop and read the fine print on all the different models, then come back and ask some more questions and then you can ..........
or you can Phone Richard Brunt at Composting Toilets USA.com

Just kidding, you should do some homework, and YES we do own one that we bought from Richard, and and no he's not perfect but he's OK and we are very happy with our new LOO !

We Bought a Separett there I even spelled it right this time and as the name implies it seperates the wet and solid matters then in our model you plumb the wet into one of your tanks and the solids collect in the bin inside the Toilet.
Very neat model very easy to keep clean and with the internal fan to the outside there is absolutely no smell inside of the MoHo.
If there is, something is wrong !
Sometimes you need to tweak the amount of fibre or chips you add or the fan speed (depending on what else is running close by).

Good Luck in your search,

Regards,
Ed

PS. don't look at the back wall it still has to be refinished !!!

That looks really nice! I love the idea of a composting toilet. It somehow seems better than driving around with 13 gallons of black water.

Hi,

I've just finished installing a Nature's Head composting toilet in our class A Winnebago. If you will go to YouTube and search/find the Nomadic Native channel (ours) you'll find a somewhat detailed review of the toilet, removing the old toilet, and installing the composting toilet videos there. I would post a link to get you there but I'm unsure of the forum rules on outbound links. When you get there, if you click on playlist you'll easily find the 3 videos in a single playlist.

We've not had a chance to use it yet, but I do intend to make another video for the playlist once we have used it for a while.

I will watch the video playlist later, but I think you can put it up. In fact, I'll do it for you.
