I took through campgrounds and RV parks at idle, unless idle won't move me, then I keep it no faster than 5 MPH. I am trying to set an example for courtesy and respect for my neighbors and other campers. I turn off my air conditioning in my pickup so the fan won't run so much. I turn my radio down. I don't let the truck run for any more then I need to.

Someone please tell me I'm doing the right thing, because I see so few others doing the same things, I can't help but wonder sometimes.

Yes, you are. Remember, not all bad "camping" behavior is due to non-courteousness; at least some of it is simply newbies who have never camped/RVed before and don't know any better. Seeing people like you doing it right can help to teach newbies the ins & outs of RV life. As for the few real idiots you'll encounter along the way... Well, you just can't fix stupid, so don't waste you time trying.

My pet peeve is people pulling into a site, park,
put slides out and see their slides extend into the neighbors site.
When they are asked to check the width of their rig before
setting up, they usually say they are only here for one night.

Yes, some parks have narrow sites, but each person is paying
for the use of their site, not half.

It's crazy. I try and bite my tongue all the time and keep to myself. It's just easier than being attacked for silly stuff.
It's the world we now live in unfortunately.
I'm 63 and grew up in a home based upon Faith and respect! Sad world today in most ways. I fear for our children and grandchildren...and Yours

Given the snarkiness I'm seeing recently on IRV2 including several threads that have had to be closed by Moderators due to insulting posts it seems we have met the enemy and in large measure it is US! To paraphrase another saying "common courtesy doesn't seem to be all that common" in campgrounds or web forums. 'Tis a shame . . .

Nah, I'm better than that. I need at least a motel 6&7/8!
