Other than maybe Recovery things if you get stuck somewhere I don't take anything different than I do when Camping at the Beach /Mountains etc with no hookups. I've been Camping in the So Cal Deserts with no hookups for over 30 years. I have lots of Off Road experience and my Jeep is very equipped .

Two possible explanations there:
1) The O.P. isn't asking about weapons.
and/or
2) No one wants this to turn into a ('nother) gun thread.

Weapons are like MasterCard, we never leave home without them. And you can't beat a good gun thread. I could talk guns for days. When gun are outlawed, only outlaws will have guns. Have guns will travel. Stand by your guns! She has great guns!!! when I was in high school we took our guns to school for show and tell. Every pickup in the parking lot had a gun rack with loaded guns in it, in a unlocked pickup with the keys in the ignition! I still live pretty much the same way. Only no gun racks, to advertise and I lock the doors sometimes, maybe, but the keys stay in the ignition, with Ford products you don't need a key as they have a keypad so you can always get in and leave it run with the key in the vehicle and get in with the keypad.

Just think about where you will be and what you will be doing while there and possible problems that could come up and pack accordingly.
