dry camping

I just want to post on the subject of the Slabs in Ca. The media has done a very good job of trashing the place. As with any city, town or other place their are good points and bad as Rver's we have a pretty good sense of when things don"t feel right. I'm at the slabs and in the area that is clean ,neat and wonderful. I'm camped with the LOWS loners on wheels, being that this is gov. land you can camp anywhere. This is a safe place to camp for a day or longer and many places to see in this area. there are hundred thousand dollar mother homes out here so it is not just the poor we have many activities also. just information, Thanks Ryegal

Beef ribs in Tx are the size of California RV slabs. Perhaps you saw them featured at the beginning of the Flintstones as a young'n. My grill just isn't large enough. But in keeping with the topic - the pork slabs are "dry" rubbed.

Me too, but being from the East coast I may have missed my opportunity. I've been to Salton City, but at that time I didn't realize the Slabs was so close.
Thank-you for the post.

Live just outside of Memphis. If you ever wanted those ribs sent to you, the website is Charles Vergos' Rendezvous :: World Famous Barbecue in Memphis, TN (and I send them to out of town family for Christmas)
