I have been watching your question to see what the answer is. Well, nobody has responded. I find the thought interesting.
Would it not be a problem connecting the golf cart batteries to the inverter? You would have to run a pretty good size welding cable even with the cart right at the door.
Again, sounds interesting but I am not sure if it would be practical.
Still interested if someone is doing this thou.

You have to disconnect the golf cart batteries anyway - in a golf cart they are all wired in series for 48 volts. Need to re-wire as pairs for 12V for the RV.

Not many people have a way to carry a gold cart, but I have seen a few. Don't know if those few ever used the batteries as reserve power, since I saw them in RV resorts rather than a boondcking scenario.

Rewiring for 12 volts in most cases will be tough. Most 48 volt golf carts use (6) 8 volt batteries ala Club Car. The 36 volt carts use (6) 6 volt batteries not a problem with them, (Ezgo and Yamaha carts come to mind).

Good point, Wayne. I had forgotten that the 48's use 8V batteries. Tricky too, since the Trojan T105 is made in both 6V & 8V versions and look pretty much identical.
