You may want to check out this site for "free" casino camping:

Casino Camper - Free Overnight Parking - Casino RV Parks

Doesn't show any in Elko, however.

The Casinos in Elko are in town, and are not really conducive to RV parking if larger than a van.

Elko is surrounded by BLM land so if you have a map that shows BLM land, parking can be located.

The next town, 30 miles or so, Wells Nevada, has three truck stops, may fit your needs.
