Champion has no problem listing their numbers. Here is an email I received from Champion. I am very happy with the pair of champion 2000 inverters I have. Based on the amount of problems my friends have had with their Honda's I'm good , and as stated previously, $499 versus $2000 I can buy four lol

Are we talking about Champion 2000s and Honda 2000s.

Honda eu2000i is only $1099.00, not $2000.00 .

The Honda eu3000i is around $2000.00.

I bought the Honda 2000 for the extended run capability.

Most if not all CPAPs use a power brick with a 12VDC output. The issue is that most CPAPs don't like 15V so a somewhat special DC to DC converter is needed. It needs to be able to accept from 11 to 15V in and give 12V out. This type is a bit harder to find but it can be found.

Here is one however it's not one that you just plug in. You'll have to do you're own mounting and supply cables. Depending on your CPAP you might be able to power two of them from one supply. You would want it to be located near the CPAPs.

It's a 12 to 12 Volt DC/DC Converter and regulator, input range 10-15 volts however I'd get the extended range for $10 more just to be safe.

You don't live in Canada lol
Sorry you are correct the 2000 is around $1399 and the champion 2000 I picked up for $499. 25% load I get 8 hours run time. Plenty for me as it mostly keeps my batteries charged. Occasionally I will fire up the ac if it's really hot.

The $2000 figure was for a Honda EU3000iS, equivalent to the CHAMPION 75531i 3100 WATT INVERTER model.

Eu3000is is very heavy and very quiet. The Honda model most comparable to the champion 3100 is the eu3000i handi.

I just think that some folks forget that there are other english speaking countries besides Canada, with different money and pricing.

In the US, my previous statement stands. Of course it means nothing to a consumer in another country.

I bet you can buy a companion in Canada. It's the worlds oldest profession after all.

Forest Grump - I believe that kind of companion is rented, not bought.

Curious about CPAP power usage and read a number of articles on this on-line and should think a second good 12 V battery is sufficient. The below is a good article on this.

How to: Inverters, CPAP machines and camping — OH MY! | The Inverter Store Blog

The article suggests 200 W of solar to charge during the day.

I use one of those dental mouthpieces for non-snoring/sleep apnea and Elaine it is sufficient.
