Great place to boondock

New member ! If you like boondocking try the
Ghost town of KICCO Fla. It's along the Kissime river
About 20 miles north of Yee Haw junction . It's beautiful it's desolate most of the time and free ! Just have to register with the State of Fla for lock combination . Nearest site is about a mile into the park The farthest is about 11 miles in . Cattle roam the area ! Horses are welcome ! No 4wheelers Carts or motorized buggies ! The only time you would want to avoid it is during hunting season . It's packed with armed maniacs lol !
Otherwise is beautifully canopy and grassland mix along the river . 1 mile from River Ranch RV resort ! Interesting but expensive Rodeo every weekend Hay rides boat launch and .,..Glamping yuck !

Yes that's it ! KICCO Wildlife management area ! My brother lives in FLA . And was a camp host there for awhile ! If you have a boat I suggest a tour up the river and thru a lock tword Avon Park ! Also the Florida trail goes thru the park ! Nice 12 mile hike ! Walked all the way as my brother marked the trail ! Found Orange and Grapefruit trees growing wild ! OUTDOORS RULES ! If it's warm lol !
