Grey Water & Urine Question

Interesting question. Glad I am not considering it. As someone said in an earlier post, what man has not relieved himself in the shower?

No composting for me no way no how. I am happy (ok, well, maybe not happy ) with emptying my gray and black tanks a whole not less than I would have to fiddle, crank, empty, reload, then throw out the remains of a composting toilet.

Apparently it is irrevelent as some of the high end builders only use one tank .
( 189 gal ). When your MoHo is parked a gray water diverter can be used .

As has been pointed out, people pee in the shower and that's ok. Also, there are many builders now who route the bathroom sink to the black tank to add water to the waste, and there are some smaller units that only have one tank for everything. Personally, I don't see an issue with it. I would be sure to treat the grey tank however.

Why would a man be expected to pee in the shower? Most toilet before, SSS, right? And why not a woman then? Nevermind the fact urine stinks, my kitchen sink doesn't bc we scrub the dirty dishes with a paper towel over the trash as I read in my RV research before I ever bought one, hence no garbage in my grey tank and razor is wiped on paper also. I would never allow piss in my grey water, buy hey, I respect my unit, and others who come after me if I ever had to dump my grey water outside of a proper receptacle.

As Texkayaker pointed out, grey water is considered effluent. Second, put some tank treatment in the grey tank. That's what it's for. To prevent odors and break down waste.

I'm doing a MDT conversion with my 17' box van and I have decided to use a Envirolet waterless composting toilet which takes solids and urine in one tray(with racks and piping) and with the Proper medium mix. It does use a breathing/drain tube(3/8) in case there is excess liquid before it is evaporated and exhausted by the duel fans and heat Q to the out side (vent stack).
Now you ask, breather/drain tube this is a safety feature because of the vacuum it needs to take in air and there should be very little seepage in the drain line and others have attached to gray water tank. If correctly this system works with no smell. and besides like mentioned earlier if you treat your gray tank and remove food from dishes before washing.
No stinky RV neighbor here.
