How many people use outside shower?
This is our first RV with an outside shower. In the last year or so we used at the beach, to clean the grand kids feet. But after staying a few weeks in a LTVA near Quartzite, I opened my cargo door. I used a few clamps for a tarp, I clamped it to the big living room slide and used the open cargo door for a shelf. My wife found some Bio-safe soap and shampoo. I loved it, took nice long showers, never worrying about filling gray water tank. After a day or 2 my wife tried and loved it also. I have a very large barrel for fresh water when dry camping, so my only real concern is gray water. Outside showers for me from now on.

So the only thing you are eliminating is the holding tank. Why not take your shower in the rv shower with your feet in dish pans, thereby collecting the water and transfer the water to the ground outside. This way you have all the comfort of the inside and no additional water in the holding tank. You could do the same with dish water and water you use to wash your hands etc.

Hope them 'clamps' hold
Just remember NOT all states allow grey water discharge onto ground.
And YES water used for 'bathing' is considered grey water

We use ours to wash or rinse the dogs when needed. We have also used it to wash mud off of muddy shoes.

Thought about it. We'd probably do it when we're alone. No tarp or curtain, just do it in our birthday suits.
Only issue I see is if dumping gray water isn't allowed, an outside shower is going to draw some attention. I personally don't see how it's a big deal if you use bio degradable soaps. It's not fermenting in the tank. But laws is laws

If I take the shower head off, I can fill the fresh water tank while hooked up to city water

Not filling the gray tank is only one advantage. The other is being outside taking a shower. Feels great. You should try it. Also in my post I said water is not a problem for me, I carry a very large barrel.
And yes cooling off the dog is another plus.

But is it "Grey" water if it never goes into the grey tank? Almost every camp ground that allows tent camping, has someone washing dishes at a hose bib.
