I'm in Quartzsite right now and was planning on heading into Yuma sometime this coming week.

I've driven in and around Imperial Dam but never boondocked there. Was going to give it a try this year.

Any pictures you can share about the boondocking areas there ?

DW and I did that for two years a number of years ago. We enjoyed most of it - had a problem with wind and rain one year. Folks there are very nice with a few great activities. Yuma is only about 16 miles away - take the highway and not the back way to the city. It is easy to get lost going the back way. We had solar and wind generator. Most work is hauling the black/grey water out and fresh water in. There is a dump, garbage and fresh water there. Postal delivery is available near by - ran by volunteers. Still have the 45 gal. water bladder and 35 gal. blueboy, solar and wind generator.

We have decided that we will not boondock anymore, much prefer full hook-ups and social things.
