We took the mail/supply boat to Nain and back from Goose Bay. It took five days and was well worth the trip. Scenery was beautiful, the people in the five Inuit towns were delightful and the other seven tourists were great (an Australian couple in their 70s who went to Nain and flew back, an German couple in their 80s who travel everywhere, a Canadian who has traveled all over the north for the government, an Aussie who has been traveling for 36 years and ourselves). We leave for Mary's Cove and Battle Harbor tomorrow or the next day (350 mile of gravel to Red Bay) - and then to Blanc Sablon and across to Newfoundland.
