Costco is letting these gen sets go for $1499. They are supposedly very similar to the Honda EU300IS. Comments?

I see "happy owner" reports from those who bought the smaller Robin Subura 1700 and 1400 units, so maybe this new model is OK too? Spec wise, it does compare well with the Yamaha and Honda 3000 watt inverter-type units.

Compare the specs to the Honda 3000SI (invertor series) genset. After much investigation I bought a Boliy PRO 3600SI genset, the spec sheet virtually mirrors the Honda spec sheet. The Boliy however, costs $1,099 including freight.

No, manual pull-start only. Three easy pulls and it runs smoothly; that is- if one remembers to turn on the manual gas valve and ignition switch first!
