we have driven into walmarts that have no overnight parking posted but when we ask them they say it is okay. i think they are trying to discourage the trucks.

I can't believe this didn't turn in to a Walmart parkers vs. Non Walmart parkers war. Peace in our time may be possible

if you can't find a walmart, we have not found a cracker barrel that will not let you stay overnight. one did tell us things have disappeared overnight, so we moved on. we usually arrive around supper, eat and sleep.

We love the 24/7 security. Park with our main door facing a camera. IF we arrive at a decent hour, we shop, then ask and/or simply say thanks to the store manager. Our Atlas names all the WalMarts and if they have diesel. I still call them and ask. We love the price...also)

We have never "camped overnight" at Wal*Mart, we have stayed overnight in their parking lots many time though.

I do maintain a list of all Walmarts in the US, with current overnight parking status, addresses, and phone numbers which may be of help. This is kept current by volunteers and other traveling RVers, and is free to everyone (and no advertisements). The list and links to other resources is at: http://web.me.com/WLHalberstadt/Walmart
