Picking up our new to us coach in Apopka, FL. Need a quick overnight stay

We are picking up our new coach in Apopka,FL (north Orlando) in a couple of weeks. We will be heading towards Amelia Island. Where can we make a quick overnight stay near North Orlando? A Walmart is fine with us if it is allowed in the area. We don't need hook ups or anything.

X2 on allstays. allstays says there are 15 walmarts around orlando that do not allow overnight rv parking. i would still call the store that you want to stay at and ask. if the answer is still no, depending on the reason given, i have a walmart management contact that can get the store back on the right path. pm me if you want that contact. this has worked for me in the past.

Florida FL Truck Stop Locations

there are 2 truckstops listed in allstays. at least 1 welcomes rv parking overnight. also check cracker barrels, home depots, lowes, etc.

Allstays says no overnight parking at the two Walmarts near me. I've seen RVs at both nearly every time I go by them.

Thanks for the info. I will check with the store managers. I had a feeling that since Orlando was such a big tourist destination they may discourage overnight camping so that the lot isn't full of people trying to go to Disney cheaply.

If it is too bad then we will hit the road at night and head towards Daytona and look for something. We have a campground booked near amelia island but can't get into it until Monday so we just need a quick place to sleep.

Try this one
Walmart - Altamonte Springs

It is not on the "No Parking", don't know if allowed, but call.

This is maybe 10 mins from Apopka, with an easy on to the Expressway and then I-4.

and they have a HUGE parking lot with lots of perimeter parking. Just watch out for low tree branches on the perimeter.

Kathryn

The Walmart in North DeLand allows overnight RV parking. About a 30 mile drive from North Orlando and on the way to Daytona.

There's a bunch of National, State, and County parks just north of Orlando along I-4.
