Prince Rupert and Haida Gwai BC

Put similar post in "Camping" but planning on boondocking as much as possible is a quite different mindset than staying in RV parks

We are going to British Columbia and plan to spend a month or so on Haida Gwai (formerly Queen Charlotte Island) and are curious if anyone has been there and have suggestions. We were on our way back from Alaska eight years ago and ran into a Canadian with a 5th wheel who had just spent six weeks there and we have wanted to go there ever since. All this depends on health, family events etc as it does for all full-timers in their 70s.

We have downsized to a Roadtrek for extended travel (415 W of solar and 4.5 kW-hr of LFP). This worked well on our 9 weeks in Labrador/Newfoundland and should do well in BC (solar may not be that gr.and in BC - we had some long periods of rain/overcast in Alaska eight years ago).

Should like to know possibilities of boondocking/free camping in British Columbia through to Prince Rupert and then on Haida Gwai itself.
