We will be pulling into Q around Jan 18th and are really looking forward to it. I'm in the frozen north... of CA which is pretty abnormal for us. Had to actually winterized for the first time since 2007 so I can now appreciate the effort of all of those who do it every year.

Tim,
You asked about showers at Desert Gardens. The bathrooms are clean but you have to pay $1 for water in the showers. This is probably because they offer dry camping bordering BLM land. We use our own shower so I did not even look until today when I did laundry. Btw, laundry is $1.25 to wash and .75 to dry. Not too bad as campground laundromats go.

Weather is getting better and we are enjoying the desert. The New Christy Minstrels are performing at the QIA in January. We plan to go to that one. :-).

So now that we're getting close to the big show is there an answer to the original question.. Is iRV2 having a group spot this year and will it be in the usual place? will there be a sign directing people in?

Stonekeepers, Thank you for all the info. so they have city water? Our shower has never been used, p-trap never hooked up or it fell off, bought a new one and plan on installing when we get there. Finally got the stereo too work just a wire mix up. Really sounds GREAT.
It seems too me I saw something posted about the irv2 group meeting spot on another forum but can't remember where. Sorry but will keep an eye open for it.
Thanks again, 41 day's and a wake up.
Tim

Amateur that isn't staying at mile post 99 on west side of hwy 95? You are aware that there is about 20,000 amateurs out there Jan 19th for a week.
