I'll go once, just to see what all the hubbub is about. I'll enjoy the ham radio stuff, might learn a thing or two, even if one of those things is to not come back next year.

I was talking to another RVer in the customer's waiting lounge at Camping World the other day and he highly recommended going to Quartzsite. I was already seriously thinking about going.

Been there twice, 2004 and 2005. Had a good time but haven't been back since. Not sure if we ever will either.

Went a couple years ago. Was good to do, but likely won't go again for the big tent, vendors, etc. However will likely go to be with the hobby groups that attend - ham radio and off-reading, etc.

Very nice - We've never been to Quartzite in January but hope to do it this year. Gives a good insight as what to expect.

Quartzsite is also a great gathering place for RVers to meet each other face to face. irv2 and many brand specific groups also gather together their each year.

Last January we camped out in the desert with about 70 other Newmar motorhome owners at a Newmar Kountry Klub "Gathering in the Desert". This is an annual event for the Newmar Kountry Klub and they expect about 80 rigs to attend in January 2016. Their event starts a few days before the big tent open in Quartzsite so we're able to take advantage of vendors attending the show and coming out to provide seminars for our group. It's a great opportunity to gather around the campfire and converse with old and new friend and discuss coach issues with others familiar with the same year, and model.

While travelling to and from our campsite I noticed gatherings focused on just about every make of RV.

How did you manage to get pictures of the big then without all the people?

We have missed 1 year since 2000. We go with a ham radio group and then meet up with another camper club. Always find a way to have fun.

The Newmar gathering was why we were there in '04 and '05. Nice group but be sure to take a flashlight with you to the potluck! It gets DARK quickly!
