Solar while plugged in

I'm in a Park now with FHU's and therefore havent' being paying attention to the numbers on my battery monitor panel.

Last night I did notice that the batteries were down to 12.2 and this morning it is showing 11.8.

This doesn't make sense to me as I am plugged into electricity ?? Should I have my solar panels turned off ?? It doesn't appear that my batteries are being charged from the electrical plug ??

Looks like your converter isn't working. Are your 12v lights dim? No need to turn solar off when plugged in. If you have a enough solar there is no need to have the converter plugged in, except on tainy and cloudy days.

You might have to if you aren't electrically inclined. First though remove and clean the battery connections and ground to chassis. Check the converter to make sure a breaker hasn't tripped or a fuse hasn't blown. You may be getting erroneous voltage reading. If you have a volt meter check at the battery terminals.

Tripped breaker. Sure glad I checked that before I started doing all the other stuff - or gawd forbid brought it into an RV Dealership.

I'd like to know what I did (if anything) to make this breaker trip ??

Some times things like that happen when you plug into shore power, disconnect from shore power or start or stop the generator. Always best to chech breakers and fuses first. I'm sure resetting that breaker at an RV repair place would have cost plenty.

You know how the RV dealers charge! I bough a new $300,000 integra, got a fast orientation and sent on my way without a service Manuel. I came back for service in a month (could not get in earlier) and was charged $60 to flip a breaker on the generator. I get better service on my Lexus.
