You will have to define reasonable. Ft. Boonsboro state park in Richmond is ok, and Whispering Hills in Georgetown is also good for overnight. Lot of people like Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington - not our favorite, but convenient stopping point.

Kentucky Artisan Center at exit 77 on I-75.

Nice quiet parking lot with RV parking spaces long enough for our 40 footer with toad.

Great options for you on the thread from others!!!

Thing is you are not boondocking at all.

kinda wrong place to put this post

You are just stopping for a few hours sleep then hit the road again and it will not be covered under boondocking in truth , just saying on that

We use rest stops but you do have to be in earlier than that time cause most will be filled up at that time. We learned to hit rest areas in the 10-11pm tops range for a few hrs sleep time. A Walmart or cracker barrel or cabelas etc type situation might suit you guys better for a fast few hrs rest from driving.
ENJOY your trip and safe travels!

We have stayed at the Walmart in Williamsburg KY in January over the last 7 years while heading to Florida.
It's right off I-75.
Try to get a spot over by the little strip mall.
Lot of trucks parking in the lot overnight and always a few RV's.
We have felt safe here.
