Summer bondocking

In central Florida now, I have June - Sept open and would like to do some boondocking in cooler climates. Does anyone have any suggestions? I'm willing to drive about 1500 miles one way, so that should give me quite a few options. Thanks in advance for your help.

A lot of places between northern NM and WA. Check dispersed camping in National Forests, BLM, and Bureau of Reclaimation. We spent three days at Amistad Lake (under Natipnal Parks) on way back from 14 weeks in Mexico) and it was $2/day. It would be to hot to boondock in summer but there are thousands of sites in mountain West. We were at son's place on Ft Collins, CO and it was 104. We went up to a dispersed site at 10,400' ($0) near Long Draw Reservoir and it was low70s during day and 40 at night. Check on line at the National Forest sites for campgrounds/dispersed camping

Finger lakes region of NY. Lots of lakes, waterfalls and things to do from Binghamton to Buffalo to Syracuse in a couple of hours. Not to mention South into PA.

With your distance I think I would head for the Colorado or New Mexico high country for national forest or BLM lands.
