Is anyone using Trojan T1275 batteries? I can't fit 4ea T105 6 volt batteries in my battery tray, but I can fit 3ea T1275. They will give me the same 450 amp/hrs at 20 hr rate.

Trojan T105 6 volt Deep cycle Battery

Both batteries weigh 82 lbs. Four T105 batteries would weigh 328 lbs, but three T1275 batteries would only weigh 246 lbs.

Price from my supplier is $135 ea for the T105 and the T1275 are $200.50 ea. four T105's would be $540 and three T1275's would be $601.50. So I would be paying $60 more, but I wouldn't have to customize my battery tray and I would be saving 82 lbs. I've always thought capacity was directly related to weight, but these both come out to 450 amp/hrs at 20 hr rate. It must be the difference in battery construction.

John look again the 6v are 62lb and the 12v are 82lb. I have tried both and it seems the 6v last longer but over 14 yrs hard to really tell.

If the 3 batteries fit without modifications, go for it.

Thanks autofish, I must have checked that a dozen times and still didn't get it right. Now what concerns me is the differences in Reserve Capacity. I am now trying to decide between the Trojan SCS225 and Trojan T1275.

Comparing the two 12-volt batteries:
T1275, 150AH, 280 minutes @ 25 amps RC, 82 lbs., 12.96"x7.13"x10.71"
SCS225, 130AH, 225 minutes @ 25 amps RC, 66 lbs., 13.92"x6.75"x9.95"
If you can accommodate three of either, it appears to me that the T1275 is worthy of the final outcome.

If you can fit 3 12 volt Trojans you can fit 4 T105. I have changed my 3 12volt interstates for 4 T105. You have to install the t105 vertically not across like the 12 volt batteries are. You will also need one more positive to negative jumper to complete the circuit.

Everyone has told me the 6 volt deep cycles are better then even the Trojan 12 volt DC's.

You might also consider the Trojan water servicing kit as it will be very difficult to service the rear cell with the Winnebago slide out battery tray.

I have an Adventurer, no slide out battery tray. The batteries are under the step.

Unfortunately you can't. I have two motor homes, a 99 Winnebago Brave 35C and a 2003 Winnebago Adventurer. Both have identical battery trays under the steps. 4 GC2 batteries fit in the Brave, but the tray in the Adventurer is about 3/8" too narrow. I actually tried putting 4 GC2 in the Adventurer.

X's3 with JackFish and Cam T1275's.

If you have the 'head room', and willing to spend a bit more $$ - do the same math using the 6V T125 and T145. (Can't recall how much room is in this compartment.

I just had four Trojan T 1275s put in my golf cart yesterday. Too soon to compare them to anything. The tech at our club who manages the fleet of carts for the resort tells me he thinks they're the best he's ever used.

I am convinced that I need more batteries than my 2008 Sightseer/Worhorse MH came with. The batteries are under the steps. There are 2 12V Deep Cycle & 1 12V starting battery. I would like to put four 6V trojans under the steps amd relocate the starting battery. Has anyone done this? Where is a good alternate home for the engine battery? Thanks
